Juan Pablo González is an experienced executive, advisor, and board member with over three decades working at the intersection of strategy and human capital. He currently serves as a Senior Advisor with O.R. Leadership and works directly with a select group of clients as an independent advisor.
Mr. Gonzalez has advised many of the world’s leading employers and served as a Senior Partner and practice leader for several prominent professional services firms, including Korn Ferry, EY, Mercer, Axiom Consulting Partners, and RSM. He has held numerous corporate roles including building and leading Total Rewards organizations at BaaN and Constellation Energy, where he was responsible for more than $1 billion annually in people investments.
Clients turn to Juan when the stakes are high: a leadership transition, a major rewards or talent redesign, or a strategy shift that has to translate into how people are selected, organized, measured, and paid. His expertise spans leadership effectiveness, human capital and organization strategy, rewards program design, transformation, performance improvement, and workforce planning. Having worked as both an advisor to, and a leader within, high-performing organizations across industries, he sees business and talent challenges from the inside and the outside, a perspective that helps him get to the heart of an issue quickly. His approach is practical and steady: get clear on the strategy, design solutions that are simple to execute, and help senior leaders communicate their decisions with confidence.
As an advisor and board member, Juan has worked closely with numerous boards, board committees, and chairs. He is an elected member of the International Board of Partners of the Americas and a Senior Advisor to Concordia. In recognition of his workforce expertise, he was appointed to serve as a citizen representative on the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Advisory Committee of Fairfax County Public Schools, the 10th largest school district in the United States. Juan also served on the executive, Governance and Strategy Committees of Northern Virginia Family Service, a large social services agency serving more than 40,000 clients throughout northern Virginia.
Juan is co-author of Shockproof — How to Hardwire Your Business for Lasting Success (John Wiley & Sons, 2010) and The Talent Management Handbook, Third Edition (McGraw Hill, 2018). He is a frequent public speaker, and his insights have appeared in CFO Magazine, Talent Quarterly, and WorldatWork’s workspan.
